Johnnie Mae Pennington age 89 of Birmingham, AL formerly of Sulligent, AL passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 in the Village at Cook Springs in Pell City, AL.
Born July 10, 1930 in Lamar County, AL she is the daughter of the late Richard and Wilda Eastman Mansell and the wife of the late William Bobby Pennington. she had lived in Birmingham the last 62 years and was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church. She loved Alabama Football, reading, working in her yard and her little dog Nick.
She is survived by 2 Sons, Richard “Rick” (Mary Ann) Pennington of Trussville, AL and David Pennington of Birmingham, AL, a Granddaughter Mandy (John) Schmidt of Louisville, KY and 2 Great Grandchildren, Hanna and Matthew Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by an infant Sister, Jo Ann Mansell.
Services held Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Norwood Funeral Home chapel with Burial in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Bro. Ed Puckett officiating.
