Mrs. Patsy Ann Lacks went on to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2019, leaving behind the world to move on to a better place.
Patsy Ann Lacks was born in Davistown, Alabama, November 24, 1942. She was the loving mother of Pam and Jon Lacks, and the devoted wife of Willie J. Lacks. She was long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Scottsboro, Alabama and worked for 25 years as the supervising nurse at the Jackson County Hospital. In addition to the many contributions she made to the community, church and those in need, she also served abroad in defense of our country as Captain in the United States Army Nurse Corps (Desert Storm) and in service of the Lord mission with Baptist Nursing Fellowship in USA and around the world.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Don Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Friday.
Patsy Ann Lacks is survived by her children, Pam (Rob) Arnold of Athens, AL and Jon (Karen) Lacks of El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Aly Clift of Atlanta, GA, Macauley Lacks of Atlanta, GA, Will Thompson of Scottsboro, AL, Cole (Anna) Arnold of Athens, AL, and Cody Arnold of Athens, AL; great grandchildren, Brycen and Cannon Arnold of Athens, AL; brothers, Don (Kay) Presley of Ralph, AL, Steve (Brenda) Presley of Section, AL, and Stanley (Rachel) Presley of Section, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. Lacks; grandson, Ret Thompson; father, Earl Presley; and her mother, Era Presley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Mission Fund.
