David L. “Dickey” Duke entered peacefully into rest Sunday evening at 4:30pm on October 13, 2019 at NHC in Columbia, TN.
David Duke, the son of the late Horace Duke and Margette Horton, and raised by the late Mack and Tennie Mae Calbert, was born on January 14, 1950.He graduated from Jones High School in Lynnville, TN. David professed his faith in Christ and became a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ, in Pulaski, TN. David was employed by Goodman Manufacturing Company for 13 years, and retired in 2018. David enjoyed family gatherings, and enjoyed going out for events, most of all he loved his “Happy Hill”. He was preceded in death by his brother Ricky Duke and sisters Maggie Powell, Olive Gordon and Mackey Mae Griffin.
He leaves to cherish his son Keith Lamount (Rhonda) Duke of Belleville, MI, and his beloved grandchildren Chelsea Laniece Duke of Nashville, TN and Keith L. Duke, Jr. of Belleville, MI, and a host of other family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th from 11:00am until 12:00pm with a funeral service at 12:00pm all held at Taylor Street Church of Christ.
Burial will follow in the Everbright Cemetery.
