Alton Graves

 Retired Huntsville Fire Department Driver/Engineer Alton Graves passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019. He was 90 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife Neva Graves, father Ollie B. Graves, mother Nellie Pinkerton, brothers Charles Graves and O.W. ‘Booster” Graves.

Alton is survived by his daughter Nancy (Ted) Moon, his son Chris (Michelle) Graves, and his son Troy (Cynthia) Graves.  He is also survived by 6 grand children, Allison (Brandon) Swann, Bradley (Ashley) Moon, Ryan (Laura) Graves, Jessica (Andrew) Clark, Evan Graves, and Ben Graves.  He was also the proud great grandfather of six, Annslee Swann, Gage Swann, Amelia Moon, Destiny Graves, Lorelei Clark, and Brayden Clark.

Dad was a passionate member of the Church of Christ at Lincoln and the family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to Huntsville Firefighters Association. (2606 Artie St. HSV, AL. 35805)

Dad’s greatest pleasure was being with family at Lake Guntersville while fishing, bird watching, and spoiling his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Services will be held in the Spry Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 12:00pm with Bro. Ron Williams officiating. Burial will follow the services in Lincoln Cemetery.
