Mrs. Smith died at 4:45 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2019 in the Jeff Davis Living Center.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Baldwyn, MS and a resident of Jennings, LA for 10 years moving there from Grand Junction, TN. She and her husband owned and operated Smith’s Grocery in Grand Junction for 45 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Grand Junction. Her favorite hobby was counted cross stitching, of which she made hundreds of pieces. She enjoyed being outdoors, working in her yard.

Survivors include one son, John (Dot) Smith of Jennings; two daughters, Carolyn Prichard of Lakeland, TN and Brenda Daniel of Somerville, TN; daughter-in-law, Vickey Smith of Bolivar, TN; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Charles and Mary Lou Holcomb Campbell; her husband, Charles Leslie Smith; her son, David Smith; and sister, Willie Nell Parker.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Jeff Davis Living Center, staff, and Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care for the treatment they gave to Memaw and her family. She loved every one of you.
