Alta Victoria Limbaugh Avery “Tobey”, 78 of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 7, 2019. Tobey was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Avery.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Vickie Avery Manhart and Alan Lee & Carrie Avery; grandchildren, Justin & Lydia Avery and their children, Levi Stephen Avery and Joanna Marie Avery, Austin & Stephanie Manhart, Tiffani Paige Ross and her children, Robert Ray Ross “Trey” and Ava Claire Ross and her youngest grandchild, Avery Amanda Manhart. She is also survived by her siblings, Violet Lunney, Wanda Palmer, Bernice Huie, Larry & Connie Limbaugh along with their children and grandchildren.
Tobey was very involved with numerous organizations, one of which was Twickenham Republican Women’s Group, for which she held multiple offices. She also was a former president of the Lakewood Civitan’s. Both Tobey and her late husband, Charles were very active members of Epworth United Methodist Church for many years. They also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Tobey will be greatly missed by those she served, as well as those that loved her, her family and friends.
You may visit with the family on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services, officiated by Pastor Todd Noren-Hentz, will begin at 2:00pm in Valhalla’s Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Garden of Everlasting Life.
