Obituary of Deria Terry Deria Terry
JULY 22, 1921 – OCTOBER 4, 2019

Deria Inez Terry, age 98, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2019 at Southern Plantation, Loganville, Georgia. She was the wife of the late Thomas “Tennie” Terry. They shared 46 years of marriage together in Decatur, Alabama. Born July 22, 1921 in Phil Campbell, Alabama, she was the daughter of Ida Bell and John Marbutt. She was a member of Central Park Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama for over 70 years. Deria was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Friend. She will be remembered for her unspeakable beauty, generosity, as well as her Famous “Fried Pies”, and her ability to beat everyone at Dominoes. She is survived by her daughter Betty Kay Watson and husband Jim of Loganville, Georgia; step- daughter Janice Gail Terry of Decatur, Alabama. Two grandchildren Kim Watson Moulder and husband Brad of Lawrenceville, New Jersey; Eddy Watson and wife Shannon of Hoschton, Georgia. Four great grandchildren Eliza and Aaron Moulder; Caleb and Colten Watson. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and eight siblings. Funeral Service and Internment will be at Roselawn Memorial Funeral Home, Danville Road, Decatur, Alabama, on Wednesday October 9 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Dr. Jackie Kay and the Rev. Dannie Reed officiating. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made to Central Park Baptist Church, Decatur, Alabama
