Every reporting city in the service territory had daily record highs again on Thursday. Memphis (98F), Nashville (99F, Chattanooga (100F), Huntsville (100F), and Knoxville (96F) all tied their October record high from October 2, 2019.

Thursday’s peak demand of 28,582 MW at 97 degrees at 4pm CDT was the second highest October load in TVA history. This marks the third day above 28,000 MW out 4 total 28,000 + MW days in October. Today’s peak load is forecast to be near 24,000 MW and cooling trend should bring more typical loads for October by early next week.
