L.C. Bridges, 88, died Friday, September 27, 2019, at NMMC in Tupelo, MS. He was born in Monroe County, MS to Leo and Viola Holder Bridges. He was a welder and was a member of Old Union Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 29, 3 p.m. at Old Union Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Ginn officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by five children-Brenda Mann of Belmont, Lonny Bridges (Teresa) of Iuka, Ricky Bridges (Kay) of Eupora, Vickie Hardy (Jerry) of Dennis and Sue Pruitt (Allan) of Golden; fifteen grandchildren-Daniel, Leigha, Laura, Beth, Lisa, Jason, Sheena, Swayze, Jerry Dale, Geneva, Allena, April, William, Kayla and Wanda; twenty great-grandchildren; two sisters-Mary Shebinek and Lola Penrod and one brother-James Bridges.
He was preceded in death by his wife-Adell Fowler Bridges; his parents and three sisters-Clytee Hipwell, Louise Kirk and Lorine Bridges.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Dale Hardy, Jason Bridges, Daniel Mann, William Pruitt, Todd Johnson, Ronnie Fowler, Tommy Fowler and Daniel Beasley.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 28 from 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home and he will lie-in-state Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at Old Union Baptist Church.
