Leighton Woman Charge With financial Exploitation Of Her Mother

FLORENCE-On Saturday, September 21 the Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with Financial Exploitation of her mother and several other related charges:

“On 9/19/2019 Florence Police Department took a report regarding the victim’s daughter taking checks and using the victim’s name to gain access to her checking account. Over a month, Ms. Payne took a total of $2900.00 from the victim’s account.

Ms. Stacey Y. Payne, 50 was arrested for Financial Exploitation of Elderly 1st, Theft 1st, Forgery 1st, and Identity Theft. She is currently in the Lauderdale County Detention Center with a $150,000.00 bond.”
