Mrs. Catherine Giles Spelce, 95, formally of Rogersville, AL, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 25 at 2:30 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville with Laughlin Service Funeral Home assisting the family. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.
Mrs. Spelce is survived by sons, Randy Giles and wife, Dianne of Scottsboro and Steve Giles and wife, Jaymi of Shreveport, LA; daughters, Cathy Self and husband, Mike of Huntsville and Christy Crenshaw and husband, David of Harvest; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Bill Travis and Minnie Stone; sister, Marie Sharpe; granddaughter, Jennifer Giles; and great-grandson, Cameron Varnell. She also was preceded in death by husbands, Crawford Cowley, Homer Giles, and Thomas “Ned” Spelce.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
