Mrs. Madge Opal Reeves, age 94 of Vernon, AL, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019, Northport Medical Center-DCH.

Mrs. Reeves was born August 8, 1925, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Frank and Jettie McGill.  She was a seamstress and was married to the late Robert J. Reeves.  She was also preceded in death by two sons, Danny Joe Reeves and Bobby Reeves; two brothers, Kirby McGill and Richard McGill; and two sisters, Pauline Langley and Mavis Lucas.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Phillip Potter officiating.  Burial will follow at Furnace Hill.  Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00-9:00.

Active pallbearers will be Todd Reeves, Rick Hollingsworth, Jr., Brian Hollinsworth, Nickolas Reeves, Brock Hollingsworth, Jace Hollingsworth, Hudson Hollingsworth, Bobby Austin Westbrook, and Jarred Wheeler.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob West, Thomas West, Edwin Collins, and all her nephews.

Survivors include her daughter, Kay Reeves (Rick) Hollingsworth of Enterprise, AL; five grandchildren, Rick (Anna Beth) Hollingsworth, Jr. of Enterprise, AL, Robert Brian (Niki) Hollingsworth of Winfield, AL; Todd (Grace) Reeves of Vernon, AL, Candace (Wesley) Westbrook of Vernon, AL, and Zane (Heidi) Reeves of Virginia; 14 great-grandchildren, Brock Hollingsworth, Reid Hollingsworth, Jace Hollingsworth, Hudson Hollingsworth, Addie Reeves, Immie Reeves, Nickolas Reeves, Cheyenne Reeves Wheeler, Elaina Grace, Alexis Collins, Jacob West, Thomas West, Catherine West, and Bobby Austin Westbrook; ten great-great-grandchldren; two daughters-in-law, Mary Reeves and Linda Reeves; four sisters-in-law, Carlene McGill, Naomi Reeves, Maxine Reeves, and Linda Reeves; one brother-in-law Jimmy Bailey; and a host of nieces and nephews.
