Warren, age 67, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 at her home in Flintville. JoAnn was born June 17, 1952 to the late Edgar L. Quick and Nellie Ruth Roberson Quick Crabtree. She is also preceded in death by her stepfather, Virgil H Crabtree; her brother, Johnny Carl Quick; and her daughter, Beverly Taylor Gray.

Ms. Warren is survived by her daughter, Crystal Gail Taylor Brown of Fayetteville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, June & Ricky Simmons of Flintville, TN; sister-in-law, Janie Quick of Flintville, TN; and her great-grandchildren, Avery, Ryder, & Aubree Simmons of Normandy, TN and Hadlee Warren of Fayetteville, TN. JoAnn was loved by a host of nieces and nephews: Jonathan & Katie Simmons of Murfreesboro, TN, Renee & Chris Lawson of Meridianville, AL, Carla & Al Gault of Flintville, TN, Angie & Jared Bradley of Elora, TN, and Edie & David Martin of Hazel Green, AL. Additionally, JoAnn was cherished by a host of close family and friends: Tommy & Vickie Taylor; uncle and aunt Malcom & Yvonne Quick of Lilburn, GA, aunt Julia Quick of Flintville, aunt Phyllis Fohner and uncle Buck Roberson of Huntsville, AL; cousins, Robin & Bill Shelton, Ava Kimbrough, Max & Sheila Quick, Van & Lee Quick of Flintville, TN; Connie & Allen Kirkland, Allen & Judy Crabtree, Harry & Joyce Crabtree of Fayetteville, TN; Wade Quick & Melanie Herring of Smyrna, TN; Traci & Steve Green of Atlanta, GA; along with many, many more great nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins.

JoAnn was an admirable and loyal employee to Goodman, retiring after 36 years of service. The friendships she made through Goodman were long-lasting and far-reaching – many, many people knew JoAnn by her laugh, her care for others, and her love of people. She loved with her heart wide open, steadfastly loving several despite their faults and failures. Those who know her and love her have comfort in knowing exactly where JoAnn will spend eternity: wrapped in the arms of Jesus in Heaven, where only love lives.

Funeral service for JoAnn will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Gatlin and Bro. Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held at 12 PM until time of service at 2 PM on Wednesday at Higgins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hayden C. Hammons Memorial Scholarship at PO Box 241, Fayetteville, TN 37334. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of JoAnn Warren.
