Shirley Temple Rorie, 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at St. Dominic Hospital, in Jackson, MS. She was a resident of Brandon, MS. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Church of God in Booneville, MS. Rev. Cory Burcham will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery in Rienzi, MS. Visitation will be on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Church of God in Booneville, MS. MS. Shirley was born on June 2, 1938, in Rienzi, MS. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith. She is survived by her Sons: Ronald J. Rorie (Shelly) of Baton Rouge, LA, Lonnie Eugene Rorie (Sherrie) of Florence, MS, Tye O’Neal Rorie (Kristy)of Florence, MS, Gerald Rorie (Lois) of Nashville, TN, Joey Rorie (Donna) of Summerville, SC, Daniel Rorie of Montana and Donus Rorie (Belinda) of Corinth, MS; Daughters: Twins, Rebekah Sullivain (Barry) of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Rachel Castle (David) of Crystal Springs, MS; Pat Smith of Booneville, and Joyce Lamb (Hal) of Folsom, LA; 33 Grandchildren; 43 Great-Grandchildren; 20 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Sisters: Ola Mitchell of Georgia, Helen Gray (Jimmy) of Adamsville, TN; Beatrice Rorie (Richard) of Rienzi, MS, Mary Spencer of Corinth, Reatha Spencer (Jimmy) of Corinth, Leatha Womble of Corinth and Sarah Jean Whittemore of Corinth; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in Death by her husband: J.W. Rorie; Son: David Rorie; Daughter: Jean Rorie Salcombery; 2 Grandchildren: Paul Rorie and Daniel Rorie, Jr.; Father: Hulet Robbins; Mother; Minnie Parker Robbins; Brothers: Jimmy Robbins, John Robbins and William Robbins; Sisters: Susie Killough, Joyce Killough and Roxie Burcham.
