Norbert J. Heider, Jr., age 85, of Albertville, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Marshall Medical Center South.
Mr. Heider served in the U. S. Army for 2 years, a member of the Teamsters Union for over 48 years and retired with 25 years service with ARC Disposal.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dave Verzyl and Rev. Jerry Butler will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2 before the service.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Heider, son, Ryan Heider (Mary), grandchildren, Joshua James Heider and Ruby Mae Delores Heider, brother, Ronald Heider (Darlene), niece, Christine Stiffler.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Jo Heider.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made the American Cancer Society.
