Wendell Douglas Edison Wendell Douglas Edison 76, son of Ruben R. and Clara Russell. He was born in Nashville, TN on September 1, 1943.

He was a graduate of Donelson High School & Belmont University and resided in Donelson, Brentwood, & Franklin, TN.

He was married to Fay Deaton Edison for 54 years and was a member of First Baptist Donelson and Harpeth Hills Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ruben & Clara Edison.

Wendell spent his professional sales career at Sears & Cenwood Appliance Distributors. An avid student of history, he served the community as Brentwood Historic Commissioner, Traveller’s Rest Board member & Tour Guide at Belmont Mansion. He enjoyed participating in historic reenactment projects for Brentwood Historic, City of Brentwood, Belmont Mansion, Carnton, Carter House, PBS, Mt Olivet’s annual cemetery tour and Traveler’s Rest.

Sincere appreciation to Dr. Tom Henderson, Dr. Sear Ryan, Marinell Yates, and Mark Brown for innumerable kindnesses during Wendell’s 12-year Alzheimer’s journey.

Visitation with family will be at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Franklin, TN from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2019 where a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 @ 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Williamson Memorial Garden.
