ATHENS-The Athens Grease Festival is thrilled to have food trucks frying for us this year! With creations from the Spud Truck, specializing in fried spud creations, you’re sure to find the fry that fits your taste. Catch BBQ from Old Town Queing, seafood from Battered by the Bay, New South Hot Dogs, something exciting from Hildegard’s German Cuisine. More fried options include: Eastern Point Bistro, Our Little Kitchen, Good Eats and A Thyme for All Seasonings! Trucks will start frying at 11 am. Come see what these creative minds have to fry! Also returning to fry up something special are our local restaurants! Sweetest Things Tea Room are sure to delight you with a classic southern fried delicacy. Dubs Burgers are frying up a southern favorite, fried pies. The Grease Festival is excited to have two of Athens’ favorite places joining us!

After you taste and see some savory fried foods and you’re still wanting more, don’t panic, there will be dessert. Try some classic sweets from Sweet Cone Alabama or try something new from Rita’s Italian Ice. D&B will be serving up a Southern favorite, funnel cakes. No matter what your fried fantasy includes, you will find it at the Athens Grease Festival!
