Ray was born in Gadsden, Alabama on June 15, 1936. After graduating High School he joined the Marine Corps and after serving two tours in Vietnam and 22 years later he retired from the service. He was in helicopters and loved what he did. He was a proud man. He loved fighting for his country. Ray received many medals and honors during his time spent, including the Purple Heart.
He always believed in putting others first. He loved his family and friends. He was full of life and lived everyday to the fullest until he became sick and couldn’t. He loved to travel and when he met his wife, Leila they fell head over heels in love with each other. They were married almost 16 years and together 17 wonderful years. They traveled their entire married life and made many wonderful memories together.
His wife and family wish to extend their gratitude to each and every one of you that has been a part of this service in anyway and for being here to celebrate the life of Ray Hudgins.
We would like to thank Albertville Memorial Chapel for helping make this celebration of life for Mr. Ray Hudgins so special. Also, Evangel Worship Center for your love and compassion during this difficult time.
May God bless each one of you in Abundance!
