Billy King Carter, of Iuka, died peacefully in his home on Friday, August 30, 2019. Billy was a beloved member of our community. He served as a Deacon at Iuka First Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, especially fishing. He was a jack of all trade. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Survivors include his son, Lamelle M. Malone and wife, Meredith of Iuka; five grandchildren, Lamelle Jr., Kaden, Gabriel, Jaidyn, and Hunter; two sisters, Frankie Allen and Lillian Brock; one brother, Willie Carter Sr.; a step-son, Alverez Freeman; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Carter; his mother, Sarah Carter Johnson; and two sisters, Lucinda Martin and Arther Mae Crider. Services are to be held for his home-going at his church in Iuka on Saturday, September 7th at 1pm. He will truly be missed by his family, friends, and those whose lives he has touched.
