Jessie Merlin Lucas, 71, died Thursday, September 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Fairview, MS and was a truck driver. He attended Old Union Baptist Church, Belmont, MS.
There will be no funeral service. Visitation will be Friday, September 6, 5-7 p.m. at Old Union Baptist Church. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS assisted the family.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years – Wanda Lucas, Tishomingo, MS; three daughters – Molly Stidham (Clifton), Shawnie Young and Sabrina Hopson; seven grandchildren; four brothers – Frankie Lucas, Roger Lucas, Wayne Lucas and Roy Lee Lucas and one sister – Monlue Burks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emise and Velvie Keeton Lucas and a grandchild.
