Tuscumbia shooting victim identified

  TUSCUMBIA – Tuscumbia Police Chief, Tony Logan identified the victim of a fatal Labor Day shooting. He was identified as John Thomas Call, whose last official address was in Tennessee. It appears that he and several family members were living in or near the Tuscumbia residence, where the shooting took place, at the time he was shot and killed by an, as-yet unidentified shooter.

Tuscumbia 911 got a call around 9:45PM that there had been a shooting at a residence at the corner of John and North Hobson Streets. When police arrived at the scene they discovered Call’s body in the driver’s seat of a white pickup that was parked in the back driveway of the house. A number of his family members were present at the scene.

Logan indicated that there is a prime suspect in the murder and possibly a second person. The suspect(s) have yet to be located.
