John Lamar “J” Tucker, III

John "J" Lamar Tucker III John Lamar “J” Tucker, III of Prospect passed away on August 27th, 2019. He was born in Huntsville, AL on September 20, 1971 and was 47 years old.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture. He was also a member and Alumni of Alpha Gamma Rho, Phi Upsilon Chapter at UT Martin. J was a lifelong row crop farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family hunting, fishing, kayaking and coaching their ball teams.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 30th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

Funeral Service will follow on Saturday, August 31st at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in the Tucker Family Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his father John Lamar Tucker, Jr.
He is survived by his
His wife, Betsy of Prospect, Tn.
Son, Derrick (Kim) Thomas of Leoma
Daughter, Lorren Smith of Leoma
Daughter, Kylee Dean Tucker of Prospect.
Son, John Will Tucker of Prospect, Tn.
Mother, Sherian Tucker of Ardmore, AL
Uncle, Tex Tucker of Elkton, Tn.
Aunt, Peggy (Mike) Widener of Phoenix, Arizona
Aunt, Betty (Doc) Foster of Pulaski, Tn.
Aunt, Sylvia (John) Wilmer of Mooresville, Alabama
Aunt, Esten (Charles) Slayton of Ardmore, AL
Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
