LaVerne Pauline “Polly” Hargett

On Sunday, August 25th, 2019, the Rock of our family went home to walk in the glory of God. LaVerne Pauline “Polly” Hargett was born on April 4th, 1934 and lived a long life with many endeavors. Polly was an avid quilter and had an excellent reputation for the quality of her work. She will forever be held firmly in our hearts and in our minds. Polly will forever be loved by her multitude of friends and her large extended family. We love you, Mom! Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS has been entrusted with arrangements. A private service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. She is survived by her children, Randy (Liz) Passmore of Winterhaven, FL, Brad Passmore of Iuka, Cathy (Bryan) McQueen of Iuka, and Eddie (Pat) Hargett of Columbia, TN; her daughter in law, Glenda Passmore of Immokalee, FL; 14 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; her sister, Joyce (Roy) Collazo of Waco, TX; and her brothers, Oneal (Faye) Sparks of Cordova, AL, Billy Sparks of Lehigh Acres, FL, Ray (Hazel) Sparks of Glen, and Danny Sparks of Iuka. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hezzie Kie and Neva Mae Barnes Sparks; two husbands, Charles H. “Red” Passmore and Wilburn R. Hargett; her son, Coach Clif Passmore; her daughter, Shirley E.
