MUSCLE SHOALS – Billy Lawson, the man responsible for the resurrection of the famous Wishbone Recording Studios, this past Saturday afternoon hosted what we hope will be the first of many special events there. The studio was filled to capacity to hear from Nashville famed songwriters and musicians, Ed Hill and Dak Alley about their new books and listen to special tunes from their extensive catalogs of hits. Ed, who has written an astonishing number of hits, including Faith Hill’s, “It Matters To Me”, talked about his 40-year career and the art of navigating the Nashville music pathway to the upper echelons of songwriting prowess. Ed’s new book is entitled, “It Matters To Me”.

Dak Alley, an accomplished songwriter and filmmaker in his own right, told the gathering about his encounters with music icons who are listed in his new book, “It Goes A Little Somethin’ Like This”.

There were so many of our famous Muscle Shoals musiciand, singers and songwriters that we can’t even begin to name them all. But you’ll find them in the photos…

The Quad Cities Daily was on hand to take some EVENT PHOTOS of the folks at wishbone. It was a lot of fun. We hope Billy keeps doing what he’s doing!
