Mrs. Lucille A. Blackwell, age 87 of Athens, AL passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Blackwell was born on August 25, 1931 in Leggtown, AL to Elijah Forrest Amerson and Mary Ruth Carr Amerson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Athea Earl Douglas; daughter, Deborah Edwina Campbell.
Mrs. Blackwell is survived by her daughter, Marcia Royster; sons, Daniel Baugher (Norma), Dennis Baugher and David Baugher; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Hubert Duke Amerson, Thomas Jefferson Amerson and Ricky Wade Amerson; sisters, Mary Ruth Nave and Patricia Ann Reese.
Services for Mrs. Blackwell will be at 2:00PM on Wednesday August 28, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Donald Terry officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Meyers Cemetery.
