Bobbie Jean Goodwin Bobbie Jean Goodwin, 81, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday. Mrs. Goodwin was an avid Alabama football fan and bowler. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. Mrs. Goodwin was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; sister, mother-in-law, and companion.
Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart Decatur Thrasher and Lydia Mae McCool Thrasher; husband, Jimmy Goodwin; sisters, Mary Sue Bedford, and Emma Lou Fourroux; brothers, Preston Thrasher and Charles Thomas Thrasher; and great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Peyton Speight.
Survivors include son, Eddie Goodwin (Linda); daughter, Sheryl Speight (Don); sisters, Annette Lawley and Mona Dale Thrasher; 4 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and companion, Mike Shoemaker.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20th, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21st at Maple Hill Cemetery.
