Funeral services for Ms. Vernelle Johnson, age 92, are scheduled for 1:00pm Monday, August 19, 2019 in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with burial to follow in Judson Cemetery. Ms. Johnson passed away late Friday in Jackson. Ms. Johnson was born February 13, 1927 in Henderson Coi. Tn. to the late Willie Arvin Rhodes and Nina Todd Rhodes. She was retired from Decaturville Sportswear. Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband- Edgar Johnson, one son- Tim Johnson, one brother- Vaughan Rhodes, two sisters- Shirley Rhodes and Raymelle Pinkston (Harper); Survivors include- one son- Roger Johnson (Late Janice), one daughter- Penny Roberts (Tony), one brother- Larry Don Rhodes (JoAnn), three sisters- Freda Roberts (Late Ronnie), Jane Gregory, Mary Sue Montgomery (R.C.), 6 grandchildren- Brian Johnson (Hayley), Whitney Johnson Walters (Bobby), Derek Johnson, Kyle Hopper (Tiffany), April Roberts and Matt Roberts (Teresa), 5 great grandchildren- Zach Johnson, Wynn, Collins Claire Walters, Aria, Jace Hopper.
