Billy Joe Clifton, age 78, of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Mt. Juliet Health Care Center in Mt. Juliet, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired construction superintendent, and of the Church of Christ Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Lacy Faulkner Clifton; one brother, Jim Clifton; and one sister, Ernestine Robertson.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Clifton of Mt. Juliet, TN; three children, Danny Clifton of Lafayette, TN, Katy Bougor (Brian) of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Mike Clifton (Brooke) of Nashville, TN; four grandchildren, Dallas, Macy, Riley and Addison; three great-grandchildren, MiKayla, Mayson and Jackson; and one sister, Geneva Farr of Lawrenceburg, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, August 19, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at John Lay Cemetery at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
