Phillip David McClendon

Mr. Phillip David McClendon, age 68, of Arab, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. McClendon was born on July 28, 1951, in Cullman County to Chester E. McClendon & Myram Sandlin McClendon. He retired from the Redstone Arsenal where he worked as a Program Manager. Mr. McClendon loved music, bass fishing, and going to the beach. He was a professional musician for over 50 years and played in the church orchestra.
He was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. McClendon is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara K. McClendon; son, Andrew McClendon; sister-in-law, Dianne Driskell (Tommy); brother-in-law, Keith McCutcheon Preceded in death by his parents, Chester E. McClendon & Myram Sandlin McClendon; brothers, Chet McClendon, Jr., Jon McClendon.
Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Rev. Max Roden, officiating. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, assisting the family.
Memorial visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Gilliam Springs Baptist Church- Missions, P.O. Box 450, Arab, AL 35016.
