Callene NoblettCallene Noblett, 83, of Double Springs passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Callene was born on November 10, 1935. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Double Springs, and also a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. She graduated from Winston County High School in 1955. She worked at Winston Uniform and Winston County High School, and she was a member of Jasper Quilt Guild, Peacemakers Quilt Guild and Red Hat Society. Callene enjoyed sewing, piecing quilts, shopping with friends, and spending time with her three girls. She would give any stray cat a loving home that was in need.

A graveside service will be on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Double Springs Memorial Cemetery (Cockrell-West). Brother Bill Frank Wilson will officiate.

Callene is survived by her daughters, Donna Noblett, Sandra “Cindy” (James) Thompson, and Peggy (Danny) Manasco; grandchild Chad Thompson (Abby Laney); and special companion, her cat “Tippy Tail”.

Callene was preceded in death by her husband, Don Noblett; parents, Chalmer and Pearlie Epperson; brother, Leon Epperson; and sister, Gearldine Covington.
