Mr. Boyd Edward Irvin, age 91, of Morgan City, Al., passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Irvin was born on July 10, 1928 to the late Dewey Franklin Irvin and Cordie Wilson Irvin Maples. He served in the United States Army. He worked as a television repairman and in pest control. He enjoyed gospel music, fishing and talking to anyone and everyone.
Mr. Irvin was preceded in death by his brothers, Aubrey Irvin, William Grady Irvin, Melvin H. Irvin, Robert Gene Irvin; sisters, Pauline Young, Betty Kelley; step father, Howard Maples.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Annette Griffin Irvin; son, Timothy Edward Irvin (Stacey); daughters, Barbara Hurt (Joseph), Brenda King, Shirley Weatherford (Keith), Sandra Parrish; grandchildren, Patrick Flack, Ashley Wissinger (Alek), Austin Alexander, Krista Manning (Joey) Joseph Hurt, David King (Linda), Kevin King, Britney Irvin, Ashley Weatherford, Ty Wesley Harbin (Carolyn), Thad Harbin (Kate), Exavier Parrish; great grandchildren, Alice Wissinger, Audrey Wissinger, Gabe Jones, Matthew Manning, Olivia Manning, Kaitleigh King, Adeleigh King, Blakelyn King, Madyson Royster, Colton Royster, Koltyn Williams, Tucker Boyd Guerrero, Griffin Guerrero, Kyleigh Weatherford, Lennon Harbin, Brynn Harbin.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Union Grove, Al with Pastor Jason Bomar and Mike Kelley, officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Brindlee Mtn. Chapel Funeral Home & Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
