FLORENCE-The Florence Indian Mound Museum, through its partnership with the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area, is hosting a series of children’s activities that help students to investigate the early culture of the Shoals through interactive learning.
Our program on ladybugs will take place Saturday, August 17th at 10 am. This learning exercise is open to all ages of learners who will explore the history of ladybugs and their importance in our environment. Younger learners will work on creating a ladybug exhibit for our museum, while experienced learners can participate in a biological survey of the Florence Mound and help to inventory the ladybug population. All will help to release ladybugs into the ecosystem around the Indian Mound.
This program is sponsored by the City of Florence Department of Arts and Museums and the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area.
