Funeral service with military honors for Mr. Reaford Marvin James, 85, of Good Hope will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 11th, 2019 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Perry Knight officiating with interment in Good Hope Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. James passed away Wednesday, August 7th, 2019 at Hanceville Nursing Home. He was born July 8, 1934 to Ira Willis and Estell Doris Brock James. He retired as Master Sergeant from the United States Army serving tours in Korea and Vietnam. Mr. James also retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a member and a deacon of Southside Baptist Church,
Mr. James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, Wanda Mize James; brother-in-law, Conard Rice.
Survivors include his sons, Don (Melinda) James, Dennis (Mary Pat) James; daughter, Elaine (Ronnie) Clay; brother, Wilford (Glenda) James; sister, Margaret Rice; grandchildren, Patrick James, Molly (Nik) Hayne, Heather (Michael) Vaught, Kimberly (Byron) Butler; great-grandchildren, Lily & Landon Vaught, Harper & Adalyn Butler; a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 – 8 p.m.
