Clifford Wayne “Buddy” Smith, 66 years old, of Hatton passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at North Alabama Medical Center. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Lovelady and Roy Bain Officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
Clifford was a hard working, loving and caring, husband, daddy, granddaddy, son, brother and friend. He retired from Local 78 out of Birmingham. He was a very outdoors person, he loved horses, working on his old cars, to trade and sell and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sarah Terry Smith, son; Scottie Smith (Amanda) daughter; Melinda Smith, three grandchildren; Channler Smith, Chelsey Smith and Hailey Smith, mother; Maggie Smith, brothers; Junior Smith and Danny Smith, sisters; Brenda “Shutter” Vess, Patricia Smith and Diann Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his father; Willard Smith, brothers; Roger Smith and David Smith,
brother-n-law; Dale Vess.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Smith, Dustin Cooper, Randall Kidd, Jonathon Lynch and Kyle Parker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Grimes, Steve White, Tony Lovett, Don Smith, Don Gaddy, Greg Leasley,
Carl Haggard and Randy Kidd.
