Lola Marie Scott Ramsey, 78, passed away Saturday August 3, 2019 from an extended illness. She was a Spencer resident and a Van Buren County native born July 10, 1941 to the late William Bill and Victory Yates Scott. She was of the non-denominational faith.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers; Elbert, Pete and John Sullivan, Carl and Bryant Scott, sisters; Delma Gilbert and Elvina Davis.
Mrs. Ramsey is survived by daughters: Teresa (Patrick) Johnson of Spencer and Melinda (Joe) Madewell of Spencer, brothers; Leaton (Ann) Sullivan of Sparta, William (Linda) Scott, Harold (Margaret) Scott, Bob (Gloria) Scott all of Spencer, grandchildren; Danny Ramsey, Eric McKeehan, Miranda Johnson, Kyle Dodson, Boone Madewell, Wesley Madewell and Brandee Madewell, great-grandchildren; Averi Studley, Kiarra Austin, Jasmine and Wyatt Waller.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 7, 2019 at 6:00pm in the Layne Spencer Chapel with (to be announced) officiating. Burial will follow in the Sodom Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday the 7th from 11:00am till time of service at 6:00pm.
