Bobby Lynn Prince Bobby Lynn Prince, of Madison, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2019, at the age of 80. Born on September 25, 1938, in Morris Chapel, TN, Bobby was the son of Irene and Robert Prince.

Bobby attended Tennessee Tech University and Massey Business College in Atlanta before beginning work at Union Carbide in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. In 1965, Bobby began a 41 year career with IBM in Huntsville, AL, where he had the opportunity to team with NASA on the Apollo/Saturn space flight program. He was later transferred to Austin, TX, and in 1985, Bobby accepted a position in Tokyo, Japan as the Information Security Coordinator for IBM’s Asia Pacific Operations, and later, Business Controls Manager. His work involved travel throughout Asia, and Bobby enjoyed experiencing new destinations and cultures. He finished his career in Austin, managing a Global Strategies Group, responsible for project deployment and coordination among the North American Team, Asia and Europe. After retirement, he concentrated on hobbies, such as gardening and golf, but, most especially, enjoying time with his family and supporting his beloved Tennessee Vols Football team.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Prince; sons, Richard Prince and Scott Prince; daughters, Mitzi Prince (Phil Ellis), Tracey Yoakum (Kenny Yoakum), and Nicol Prochnow (Jamie Prochnow); grandchildren, Henry Ellis, Olivia Ellis, Charlotte Ellis, Amber Brennan, Haley Buhl, Austin Yoakum, Marley Prochnow, Radek Prochnow, and Lexi Prochnow. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his brother, Jerry Prince.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Huntsville. The memorial service will follow at the church with the Reverend Mark Seanor officiating. Interment will be in Remembrance Gardens, Austin, TX.

His family would like to graciously thank those who were involved in his ongoing medical care for the last 13 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bobby’s memory to Folds of Honor www.foldsofhonor.org/ or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
