Single-Vehicle Accident Near Gadsden Leaves One Dead

GADSDEN-On Monday, July 22 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a death from a single-vehicle accident that occurred near Gadsden on Friday, July 19:

” A single-vehicle crash at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, has claimed the life of a Rainbow City woman.

Kala Camper Toney, 49, was killed when the 2004 Toyota Tundra, in which she was passenger, left the roadway and overturned. Toney, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Toni Ann Johnson, 34, of Attalla was injured and transported to a local area hospital.

The crash occurred on Tidmore Bend Road four miles northeast of Gadsden. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
