Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Makes Drug Bust… Suspect Charged With Trafficking Methamphetamine

RUSSELLVILLE-On Thursday, July 18 Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver released a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with Drug Trafficking:

 

 

On 07/13/2019, Investigators with the Franklin and Marion County Sheriff’s Offices who are assigned to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Region E Drug Task Force took Marcos A. Lagos into custody in the city of Russellville. Lagos was under investigation for drug trafficking and evidence was found that he was traveling to Russellville to distribute a large amount of Crystal Methamphetamine.

      Agents took Lagos into custody at the Legacy Chevron service station on U.S. Highway 43 in the city of Russellville at approximately 3:30 pm on Saturday July 13th. Lagos had in his possession approximately 12.65 Ounces of Crystal Methamphetamine as well as 3 grams of Cocaine in the powder form. Lagos was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine. Lagos remains in the Franklin County Jail at the time of this release.”
