Lavonne Parsons, 83, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of Berea Church of Christ. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, doing word search puzzles, traveling, shopping, and listening to blue grass music. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Blakney (Jerry) and Kay Strickland; her son, Bobby Parsons (Stephanie); her sisters, Judy Coleman and Esta Beales; her brother in law, Billy Lytal; her sister in law, Imogene Parsons; her grandchildren, Samantha Bullard (Brian), Abbie Blakney, Amy Anglin (Casey), Zack Parsons (Bethany), Amanda Parsons, Walker Parsons, Jason Parsons (Theresa), Sierra Parsons, and Monica Strickland; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berville Parsons; her parents, Thomas and Vada Carpenter King; an infant daughter, Jeanette Parsons; her sister, Quay Lytal; and three brothers, Curtis King, Dean King, and Travis King. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Chad Bowling and Jim Estes. Interment will follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Bullard, Casey Anglin, Scotty Hancock, Daniel Coleman, Zack Parsons, and Jason Parsons. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Memorials may be made in Lavonne’s honor to the Berea Church of Christ.
