Mrs. Wilma Dean (Ivey) Arnold, age 83, passed on to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church of Crow Mtn, AL with her sons, Jeff Arnold and Greg Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Austell Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Survivors include her children, Deborah (Donny) Woodall of Skyline, AL, Patti (Joel) Gray of Lawrenceburg, TN, Greg Arnold of Ashboro, NC, Tina (Bryan) Vance of Chattanooga, TN, Jeff (Celena) Arnold of Skyline, AL, Karen (Anthony) Rossmeier of Scottsboro, AL; grandchildren, Aaron Arnold of Skyline, AL, Nathan (Heather) Arnold of Seattle, WA, Sheri (Bradley) Collins of Scottsboro, AL, Alyssa Arnold of Sparatanburg, NC, Sarah (Ethan) Powell of Angier, NC, Gavin Arnold of Skyline, AL, Gracie Holt of Scottsboro, AL, Brayden Arnold of Skyline, AL, Ivey Vance and Thomas Vance of Chattanooga, TN; siblings, Allie Little of Crow Mtn., AL, Joyce Cunningham of Skyline, AL, and Dan Ivey of Crow Mtn, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Arnold; father, Rev. Dan H. Ivey; mother, RosaLee Evett Ivey; brothers, Ronald Ivey, Carter Ivey, Van Ivey, and Don Ivey; sisters, Edna Gilliam, Mary Lou Johnson, and Nellie Dodson.
“We are all here because of her and we are better off for knowing her and her love. We’ll all miss her but hold fond memories close to our hearts. Our mother and grandmother lives on through us.”By her grandson, Nathan Arnold.
