She has nephews and nieces, whom she loved. Sheila Glidewell, a special friend who she spent happy times with. Many health care workers for the past five years that are loved and thought of as family.
Mrs. Parish was a Christian lady who loved the Lord, family and her Church, Tishomingo Chapel, where she was a member for all her Christian years, living out her faith. Home is Where The Heart Is was true for her and living to help others.
After her husband’s passing, Mrs. Parish went to work at Kossuth School and later at ITT and was there 27 years until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, James Millard Parish; her daughter, Doris Jean Parish; her granddaughter, Ginger Thrasher; her parents, Walter Lee and Hettie Mills Brown; her brothers, Archie Crum (Hazel) and Herbert Brown (Mary) and her sisters, Epsie Brown Davis (Luther), Gladys Smith (Earnest) and Helen Dodson (Ben).
Funeral service will be Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 11:00 A M at Tishomingo Chapel Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 5:00 P M to 9:00 P M and Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 10:00 A M until service time at Tishomingo Chapel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Pastor Bro. Cory Flanagin and Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be John Paul Waldon, Aaron Rogers, Lonnie McKee, Stanley Nelms, Ronnie Odle and Bob Stodghill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Waldon, Amos Nelms, James Allen and Alan Parker.
