J. D. Hagood, 91, of Town Creek, Ala., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, in Birmingham, Ala. He was born on April 19, 1921, in Lawrence County, Ala. He was retired from the army and served inĀ WWII. He was a member of Okolona Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Jeffreys Hagood, Town Creek, Ala.; son, Colby Hagood and wife, Angela, Florence, Ala.; host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Monty Monroe Hagood; mother, Ethel Flannigan Hagood; brothers, Irvin Hagood, Clarence Hagood and Ralph Hagood; sisters, Mildred Hagood and Nora Hagood.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Lawrence Funeral Home, Moulton, Ala. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Brother Terry Settles and Brother Scottie Brackin officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Garden. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
