Mr. Billy "Bill" Ray Williamson Mr. Billy “Bill” Ray Williamson, age 85, of Arab, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Williamson was born on December 6, 1933 in Tennessee to Walter Barrett Williamson & Minnie Bell Steakley Williamson. He was owner operator of Bill Williamson Repair Service for 42 years and served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Williamson enjoyed watching Westerns on T.V., reading and tending to the garden. He attended New Home Baptist Church.
Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen Estelle Yarbrough Williamson; daughter & son-in-law, Teresa Williamson Dempsey & Gregg; grandchildren, Brandon Light & Heidi, Amanda McDowell & Jordan; great grandchildren, Jack & Sam Light; Brother, Walter Williamson & Shirley, Jim Dollar; sister, Earlene Barrett. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter Barrett Williamson & Minnie Bell Steakley Williamson; brother, Johnny Dollar; sister, Betty Milam.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Arthur Feemster, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will include; Brandon Light, Bruce Light, Mike Brown, Larry Coker, Jim Limperis & Ted Eubanks. Honorary Pallbearer; Blan Milner, Tommy Milner, Jack Light & Sam Light.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
