His travels took him to Maine, North Dakota, Minnesota, Arizona, and New Mexico. He retired in 2014 and enjoyed working on the farm in northern Giles County that he loved.
Dr. Taylor was an accomplished carpenter and gardener. His greatest pleasure was cooking and kitchen gadgets. He loved to cook for others and always found unique recipes. He was also an avid animal lover. He would stop to help a turtle across the road, pick up animals he found and opened his door to those who found him.
Many people thought he was gruff, but for those that knew him well, knew he had a heart of gold and would help anyway he could.
