Bobby D. Maxwell, 86, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at NMMC Hospice in Tupelo, MS. He was born in Dennis, MS to Gerome Lillian and Lottie Sartain Maxwell. He was a certified welder and attended the Church of God of Prophecy.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 6, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. James Herman Gray and Bro. Donnie Wooten officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangement.
He is survived by one daughter-Sandra Leathers-Belmont, MS; two sons-Robert Maxwell (Helen) of Tishomingo and Wayne Maxwell (Connie) of Lewisville, TX; five granddaughters-Angie Patterson (Bobby), Christy, Kimberly, Amber and Brandi Maxwell; three great-grandchildren-Isiah, Kurtland and Jasmine Patterson and a host of special nieces, special nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by three wives-Dorothy Maxwell, Betty Maxwell and Darlene Maxwell; four sisters-Lavelle Hawkins, Letra Wright, Flonnie Ford and Florene Ables; three brothers-Freeman, Floyd and Flavis Maxwell and a son-in-law-Sonny Leathers.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Patterson, Stephen Embrey, Larry Maxwell, L.D. Maxwell, Larry Wooten and Steven Wooten. Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren-Isiah Patterson, Kurtland Patterson and Jasmine Patterson.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 6, 11-1 at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
