Mr. Dillard Clarence Sledge, age 87 of Athens, AL passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, AL. Mr. Sledge was born on February 9, 1932 in Athens, AL to John Thomas Sledge and Callie Bain Sledge.
Mr. Sledge was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Sledge; daughter, Deborah Lambert and 3 grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra McLemore (Thomas) and Sonya Mitchell (Paul); 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, David Sledge (Ann); sister-in-law, Margie Sledge.
Services for Mr. Sledge will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Brad Howard officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM on Tuesday, July 2, 3019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ashley Harrell, Chris Whaley, Terry Fulwider, Dustin Sharp, Turner McLemore and Paul Mitchell, II.
