THE SHOALS-Wilson Dam roadway will close the afternoon of July 10 and reopen the afternoon of July 15. This closure is required to install cables to support TVA’s new $50 million power switch yard investment at Wilson Dam. In addition, TVA crews will retire spans of old 161 kilovolt transmission line that are no longer needed. The road closure is scheduled for up to 5 days unless weather impacts the work.
