Louis Wales 69, of Ardmore,AL died Saturday, June 22, 2019 at his home.

Born Saturday, July 23, 1949 in Prospect, TN, he was the son of the late Joseph Leon Wales and Deola Bryant Wales. He loved to deer hunt and spending time with his son and grandchildren, In his youth he was a avid baseball and softball pitcher, and broke some school track records. He coached his son, grandson, and several other youth in baseball too. He was a Army scout in Vietnam, in the 196 Light Infantry Brigade Americal Division out of Forthood, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Estelle Black, Patsy Gates, brothers, Robert Wales, Aaron “Bimbo” Wales, David Wales, Brother and Howard Wales.

He is survived by his wife of over 41 years, Sherry Elaine Pressnell Wales, Ardmore, AL, son – Lance (Stephanie) Wales, Ardmore, AL, three grandchildren, Landon, Cooper and Sophie, sister, Louise “Sis” (Tommy) Lewter, Ardmore, AL, Brothers, Charles (Mary) Wales, Prospect, TN, Kenneth Wales, Elkmont, AL, Larry (May) Wales, Elkmont, AL, Doug (Jessie) Wales, Toney, AL, Jackie (Mickie) Wales, Ardmore, AL, brother-in-law, Wade Gates, Elkmont, AL,
sister-in-law, Ruth Wales, Franklin, TN. He is also survived by his wife’s siblings, sisters-in-laws, Judy, Polly, Jane and Wanda, brothers-in-laws, Wade (Donna), Ronnie (Shirley) and Big A (Tara), and a bunch of Nieces and Nephews on both sides of the family, and Uncle Lou loved them all and they all knew it.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, AL, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Jamie Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
