Willie T. Eggleston

Willie T. Eggleston was born April 30, 1944 in Colbert County, AL to the late George and Sadie Eggleston. Willie had ten brothers and sisters. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mount Pleasant  Baptist Church in Leighton, AL.  He later joined Cave Spring Missionary Baptist Church in Tuscumbia, AL.  Willie departed this life on Friday, June 21, 2019 in Leighton, AL.

Willie graduated from Leighton Training School in Leighton, AL.  In 1970 he married Nell Eggleston, and during this 25 year union they had three sons: Reginald, Casey and Scottie Eggleston. Willie retired from TVA with over 35 years of service. He loved  fishing, working in the yard, and helping his family. He also loved Atlanta Braves Baseball and Auburn   Tigers Football. Willie was a member of the  Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 760 in Muscle Shoals, AL.  His special song was Hold my Mule.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents George and Sadie Eggleston, and four brothers: Leon Eggleston, Carl Eggleston, Leroy Eggleston and George Eggleston, Jr.  He leaves to celebrate his life: Three Sons, Dr. Reginald T. Eggleston and wife (Regina) of Junction City, Kansas; Casey J. Eggleston and wife (Meccosia) of Tuscumbia, AL and Scottie L. Eggleston of Fort Worth, Texas, one Daughter,   Tia Peterkin of Sheffield, AL, Granddaughter Diamond Eggleston, Grandson Samir Hickson. three Brothers: Percy (Joyce) Eggleston & Johnny Eggleston of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Ted Eggleston of Duluth, GA, three sisters, Eloise (David) Jamar of Montgomery, AL, Odessa Eggleston and Carrie (Emmett) King of Muscle Shoals, AL, a close family friend, Vivian Bulls, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
