Mr. Richard “Jug” Smith, 75, of Boaz, Alabama died Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 6:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Boaz. The family has elected cremation.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Lela Mae Johnson Smith; son & daughter-in-law Ricky & Shelley Smith; daughter & son-in-law Lindsey & Josh Dugue, Meredith & Mike McGee; Myra & Bryan Smith, and Pamela Whisenant; grandchildren Andrew Talton, Amber Talton, Aaron Talton, Ally Smith, Delaney Smith, Jacob Whisenant, Riley McGee, Isaiah Dugue; great-grandchildren Lily Talton and Riley Whisenant; and sister Faye Morgan.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Boaz, Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, or Charity of Choice.
